Our Children’s Earth is so grateful to be a part of Viani’s 2021 birthday celebration, and so honored that she has asked her loved ones to support our work! Viani's idea to request donations in lieu of gifts speaks volumes about her integrity, kindness, and concern for a healthy climate.

We work at the nexus of environmental activism, public education, scientific research, and legal enforcement. We empower communities to take action to address pollution problems locally, and we hold the government accountable for doing its job and serving the public interest.

Climate change is the crisis of our time. We face an existential and global threat that is impacting all life on Earth, particularly the most vulnerable among us. There is no quick fix to a problem that has accelerated over the course of many generations, but there are solutions that we can and must work toward together.

Each of us has the power to make small changes in our lives that can contribute to climate solutions. Perhaps most importantly, we have the power to influence and inspire others, including our elected representatives! (Find your representatives here.)

The climate crisis can feel overwhelming—something that is so big and so complicated and so scary that no single person can make a significant impact. One way to think about how to be a part of climate solutions is to ask yourself three questions: 1) what brings you joy, 2) what are your strengths, and 3) what do you want to do? Each of us can use our unique abilities to contribute to positive change, and we can avoid getting burned out by focusing on activities we actually enjoy!
